Toast walnuts in a hot, dry skillet.  Warm them for approximately 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.  They will have a sweet, earthy aroma when cooked.

Add garlic, toasted walnuts, basil leaves, salt, and red pepper flakes in the food processor bowl. Pulse for 1-2 seconds beats until the ingredients are finely chopped.

Add Roasted red bell peppers, ricotta, parmesan, and lemon juice to the food process. Blend until smooth.

Serve over your favorite shape of pasta. Use as a sandwich spread, dipping sauce, or garnish for grilled meats.
