    Make this Recipe!

When hosting a meal or party, veggie trays are a solid add on to any snack table. Substituting or adding this whipped feta will make that party standard a little bit special.

It is quick and easy to assemble and can be doubled or tripled  to feed a larger group.

This feta dip is a great make ahead recipe that will spruce up the appetizer table and keep you out of the kitchen during a party.

    Ingredients

    Raw Ingredients labeled

Feta- This cheese is traditionally made from sheep milk, and has a dry, crumbly texture and tangy flavor.

    Instructions

    • Take feta and cream cheese out of the refrigerator about 15 minutes prior to mixing.
    • Place feta, cream cheese, paprika, lemon juice, garlic cloves, salt, and pepper in the food processor and blend until smooth and light.
    • Serve immediately, topped with chopped pistachios and a drizzle of honey, or store for up to three days in the refrigerator.
    • Remove from fridge 30 minutes prior to serving.
Do you need a food processor to make Whipped Feta?

This dip can be made without any special equipment. Use a hand mixer or a stiff whisk to combine the ingredients. Be sure to mince or press the garlic cloves before adding them to the dip.

What kind of Feta should I buy for this recipe?

Feta Style Cheeses vary greatly in price and quality, but generally have a dry texture and a tangy taste. Because the cheese is blended with other strong flavors, I wouldn’t break the bank seeking out a traditional sheep milk feta from the specialty counter.

I recommend sticking to a less expensive feta that is widely distributed to your everyday grocery store. These commercial products are made with cows’ milk and tend to be more mild.

    Tips

    • Take the feta and cream cheese out of the fridge and let the soften at room temperature for about 30 minutes to get really creamy dip.
    • Make this dip ahead and refrigerate without toppings for up to three days.
    • Take out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before serving to make sure the dip is spreadable.
